WALKATHON ON 1 DECEMBER TO SPREAD AWARENESS ABOUT HIV AND AIDS

Jaipur : 'Walk for a Cause' walkathon is being organised by Jaipur based NGO 'Rays' - Aasha Ki Ek Kiran and Positive Yuva Network on Friday, 1 December on the occasion of World AIDS Day. This walkathon will be held at Malviya Nagar, Jawahar Circle from 7 am to 8.30 am. Director of the NGO, Captain Gurinder Virk said that more than 400 people including children of the NGO are expected to participate in this walkathon. On this occasion, there will also be a special street play by children and a special musical performance by Indie band Yugm to create awareness among the general public about HIV and AIDS.
Captain Gurinder further informed that anyone can participate in this walkathon and support our cause of spreading awareness about HIV and AIDS. This walkathon is our effort towards changing social attitudes towards HIV infected people, especially children. Our vision at 'Rays' - Aasha Ki Ek Kiran NGO is to work and strive towards an all-inclusive society, which does not discriminate against people infected with HIV, but accepts, understands and cares for them, he said.
