- 2-day Jaigarh Festival concludes with enthusiasm and excitement
- On the last day, folk presentations and Dhoondhari Kavi Sammelan were the main attractions
 
Jaipur : The two-day 'Jaigarh Festival' organised at the iconic Jaigarh Fort concluded with enthusiasm and excitement on Sunday. The closing ceremony of the festival began with Dhoondhari Kavi Sammelan, folk dance performances and flute recital. On this occasion, all the craftsmen were honoured with mementos and the workshop students were honoured with certificates.
 
An impressive presentation of poetry recitation by the poets enthralled the audience in the Kavi Sammelan organised with the aim of promoting Dhoondhari language. Well-known poets of Rajasthan participated in the programme, including Gopinath Gopesh, Kalyan Singh Shekhawat, Prahlad Kumawat, Sushila Sharma, Kishore Pareek, Bhagwan Sahay Pareek, Ritesh Sharma Pathik, Bhavani Singh Rathore, Abhilasha Pareek, Amna Rajawat, Ved Prakash Dadhich and Sushil Gupta. Shobha Chander coordinated the event. Along with this, in a seminar pertaining to Dhoondhari language, literary historian, Mr Jitendra Singh threw light on the construction of Jaigarh Fort.
 
During the festival, flute recital, Ghoomar and other Rajasthani folk performances also took place. It is noteworthy that this unique festival was organised for the first time to celebrate 40 glorious years of Jaigarh Fort as a tourist destination. Now this festival will be organised every year.
 
The festival concluded with the felicitation of poets, teachers and participants of various workshops like folk presentations, miniature painting, block printing etc. Executive Trustee, MSMS II Museum, Ms Rama Datt and Rajguru of City Palace, Mr Subodh Chandra Sharma felicitated everyone. The function was conducted by OSD, City Palace, Mr Ramu Ramdev.
 
Later, an art exhibition and festival market was also organised during the day. A large number of school, college and university students, academicians, artists, art lovers, music lovers, history lovers, architecture lovers, shoppers, cultural workers and eminent personalities from various fields participated in this 2-day festival.
