JAIPUR HISTORY FESTIVAL BEGINS AT CITY PALACE
Jaipur : Jaipur History Festival (JHF) 2023 on the theme of 'Education Through Monuments', began on 5 December with the bhajan devoted to lord Krishna by Dharav High School. 
 
Cultural programme showcased the Ganga Aarti performed by twenty children of Sunbeam School Varanasi. The programme reflected the story of Ganga, showcasing a 3 minutes movie of Varanasi projects with different monuments linking it to the monuments of Jaipur.
 
A dance drama was performed by the Modern School, Jaipur on Jagat Shiromani Temple and Panna Meena ki Baoli. On the other hand, Subodh Public School Rambagh presented the aspects of Albert Museum through a documentary and a Puppet Dance.
 
SRN International School merged five monuments – Patrika Gate, Galtaji Kund, Sisodiya Garden, Rajarajeshwari Temple and Gaitore ki Chhatriyan into a six minute dance or drama. Sunbeam School, Laharta presented a tableau on Tulsi Das.
 
Green Fields School Delhi presented Humayun’s Tomb through a Sufi song. After a mesmerising cultural programme the exhibition area showcased these monuments, covering concepts related to mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, economics, sociology and political science. The emphasis was that a monument can be used as a teaching pedagogy for all subjects. Workshops were conducted on painting your favourite monument, printmaking, block print, pottery making, making of animation film, and origami.
 
In flow with the success of ISRO, Mayoor School Jaipur conducted a workshop on how to make a rocket and launched three mini rockets during the festival. Ms Rama Datt, Executive Trustee, Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum Trust launched the first rocket.
 
1500 students from 17 schools of Jaipur and 22 schools outside Jaipur (Delhi, Ahmedabad, Varanasi, and Hyderabad) participated in this festival.
 
The festival lasts for three more days with  different cultural items and exhibits on 6, 7 and 8 December at The City Palace, Jaipur from 8:30am to 12:30 noon
