Jaipur : School children enthralled the audience with a brilliant presentation of the play “Romeo and Juliet” written by the famous English playwright Shakespeare. This beautiful staging was the culmination of three months of tireless work by the students and the Senior Vice Principal of Jayshree Periwal High School (JPHS) and the director of the play, Sanjana Morris. The play was organised by the students of JPHS under the Theatre Club of the school. This was the sixth play presented by the club with 25 students participating. The scenes unfolded themselves in front of a full house in quick succession and the audience felt mesmerized as they were transported into a different world.
 
The presence of dignitaries such as Dr. Jayhsree Periwal, the Chairperson of the Jayhsree Periwal Group of Schools, Aakriti Periwal and Swati Periwal, added a grandeur to the play. Dr. Jayshree Periwal congratulated the actors and said that as audience she simply loved the total experience, the passion, drama, and timeless beauty of “Romeo and Juliet.” She expressed her elation and was extremely happy that the school’s Theatre Club is dedicated to fostering a love for the performing arts among students. The School’s Principal, Madhu Maini praised the students and thanked the spectators for sparing their valuable time.

The play aimed to establish a society where there is no conflict and people understand the language of love. The school’s talented cast and crew embraced these themes and delivered a performance that was both thought-provoking and emotionally resonant.
 
The production featured standout performances by all the characters whose dedication garnered a standing ovation. The play also boasted the invaluable contribution of the mentoring team of Jeet Mukherjee (Sound), Himanshi Sharma (Backdrop), Ravi Jhabak (choreography) Budh Ram (Props), Neelam Koolwal (Art) Media and Makeup department, enhancing the overall experience and transporting the audience to Verona, Italy.
